Pic a little late. WordPress app kept crashing.

Our big trip is finally all mapped out. There’s just a few caravan parks to decide on – mostly Airlie Beach. Good god that place is expensive. Who in their right mind would pay $90 a night for a piece of grass?!

So the trip goes like this:

Home – Grafton – Buderim – 1770 – Airlie Beach – El Arish – Paronella Park – Port Douglas – Magnetic Island – Cape Hillsbourough – Cania Gorge – Nanango – Lightning Ridge – Hill End – Home.

All up 13 stops over 26 days. 6,880kms & roughly 80hrs driving in our little camper.

We are looking at roughly $1400 in fuel & around $1000 in accomodation (still working on that one to get it as low as possible).

I also need to put together lots of meal plans for cooking on the road / at campsites. Money is going to be tight in this area because we really want to be able to afford things like seeing the Great Barrier Reef, etc.

Cannot wait to hit the road & experience a month in our little camper seeing new things. Let this trip be the first of many ✌️

  1. That looks like a good trip! My parents are in sunshine right now – today they should be at the Australian zoo before heading to Hervey Bay tomorrow (we’re Tassie peeps – we have snow lol)
